Abstract:
Taking watermelon variety ‘Jin long 5’ as tested material,effects of different sowing date and planting method yield and soil water use of dry film mulching watermelon in middle arid belt of Ningxia were studied and analyzed.The results showed that the treatment with the dark nest sowing method on April 15th was superior to other treatments on the growth status,yield,production value,net income and the use efficiency of soil water.The yield of April 15th increased by 4.8% and 28.0%,net income increased by 6 700.02 RMB/hm2 and 19 604.31 RMB/hm2,and the water use efficiency increased by 23.1% and 54.4% compared with those of April 25th and May 10th,respectively.The results indicated that effect on drought resistance,water saving,increasing production and income.Meanwhile was obvious,the prefect time was in the middle of April and the best planting method was the dark nest sowing which sowing after film mulching in middle arid belt of Ningxia.
