Abstract:
Cherry is rich in secondary metabolites, which contains anthocyanins, cinnamic acid, gallic acid, ellagic acid, mignonette glycosides, vitexin, rutin and other substances. These substances have the biological activities such as scavenging free radicals, protecting cell oxidative damage,anti-inflammatory effects, alleviating pain, antitumor activity, weight control, reducing diabetes complications and so on.According to the recent research of secondary metabolites and biological activities in cherry, these papers provided a meaningful reference for further development and utilization of cherry.
