Abstract:
Taking two species of Rhododendron as test materials,the effect of different temperature conditions and GA on germination of Rhododendron wardii W.W.Smith and Rhododendron megacalyx Balf.f.el Ward were studied.The results showed that the germination rates of two species were extremely low at 15-25℃.Rhododendron wardii W.W.Smith had slightly higher germination rate at 15℃ than 20℃ and 25℃,but the difference was not significant.Seed germination of two species were improved by different treatments of gibberellin concentrations.800 mg/L GA could effectively improve seed germination percentage,germination energy and germinating index of Rhododendron wardii W.W.Smith,shorten seed germination starting time and extend lasting time of germination.Seed germination of Rhododendron megacalyx Balf.f.et Ward was the best with 400 mg/L GA.
