Abstract:
Taking biennial potted ‘Huahong’ apple as test material,the effect of grafting SH38 intermediate stock on the content of mineral elements in different parts of ‘Huahong’ apple tree was studied.The results showed that all the different stocks had some effect on the contents of mineral elements in different parts of ‘Huahong’ apple tree.The grafting of SH38 intermediate stock on ‘Huahong’ apple tree increased those of lateral roots’ absorption and utilization of most nutritive elements but decreased blades,shoots,trunk and trap roots’ absorption and utilization of them.The content of the same mineral element was distinctly different in different organs,the content of Fe in trap roots was obviously higher than that of other three parts and the content of other mineral elements in blades were all significantly higher than that of other three parts.The content of same mineral element was apparently different in different classes of rhizomes and most of the mineral contents showed the highest amount in d≤0.5 mm class of fine roots.The grafting of SH38 intermediate stock on ‘Huahong’ apple tree increased lateral roots’ absorption and utilization of most nutritive elements but decreased blades,shoots,trunk and trap roots’ absorption and utilization of them,should strengthen the application of the fertilizer in poor soil region.
