Abstract:
Using 18 generation’s self-line cucumber as materials,character of the germination and chilling-low light tolerance were given to selected materials in this study,and materials were germinated at 10℃ without light,then were planted under the low temperature (Day/night,12℃/8℃) and low-light treatment (80 μmol?m-2?s-1).The tolerant materials such as M22,Ma1,M32,M11 and intolerant materials such as M44,M36,M14 were given through surveying tolerant index of low temperature and low-light treatment.Several characters such as the germination characteristics,leaf area,plant height,pitch numbers,stalk diameter and plant dry weight were investigated.The results showed that the tolerant index reached remarkable level with other 4 characters (plant height,germination percentage stalk diameter,plant dry weight).Plant height and dry weight were the closest character of the tolerant index and were the most important character of low temperature and low-light tolerance in cucumber.Screening of low temperature and low-light tolerance in seeding stage in cucumber materials could carry out by combining tolerant index
