Abstract:
The breeding strategies of‘Zhuqie 9’,including the innovative of parent materials,the selection method of quality,integrated resistance and early maturing,the identification of high generation lines and propagation of hybrid lines,the development of supporting cultivation technology,the demonstration and extension,and the population improvement of parent material of‘Zhuqie 9’.Meanwhile,according to the present status and future challenges of eggplant breeding,several solutions were discussed in this paper,involving the initiative of germplasm resources,quality breeding,resistant breeding and disease resistance were disussed.
