Abstract:
Using rockwool-tomato as test materials under multi-span greenhouse in Beijing,the effects of different densities of rockwool-tomato on canopy light distribution,tomato growth and nutrition absorption were studied.The results showed that the PAR within the canopy decreased significantly with the increase of planting density,the tomato PAR on the middle position of 4.2 plant/m2 treatment was 360 μmol?m-2?s-1 on sunny day,22.4% lower than the control 2.8 plant/m2.Secondly with the increasing of planting density,tomato showed a reduction in vegetative growth.The growth of plant decreased,disease rate increased,setting fruit rate,single fruit weight decresed,increase yield was not significant with the increasing of planting density.Through comprehensive analysis,recommended 2.8 plant/m2 was the suitable planting density for rockwool-toamto in a multi-span greenhouse in Beijing.
