Abstract:
The soil properties of site preparation before and after the soil preparation in drought Gneiss mountain area in the Hebei Taihang Mountain were studied.The results showed that soil layer of Taihang Mountain gneiss mountainous was shallow,and the bulk density of half weathering below the surface was too large,the porosity was too small,plant roots couldn’t deep down,soil water-holding ability was poor,which was the reason for that herbaceous plants could grow well,but the tree was unable to survive.After the soil preparation,the soil structure was improved,the bulk density was reduced from 1.86 g/cm3 to 1.37 g/cm3 now,porosity by original 29.89% increased to 48.47% now,soil water-holding ability had been doubled;nutrient content also increased.Preparation created a suitable soil environment for plant growing.
