Abstract:
The loess hilly and gully region of Northern Shaanxi was the traditional one crop per annum.The technology of watermelon/sunflower intercropping changed one crop per annum to double crop per annum，and it improved land productivity.Based on introducing the variety selection，soil selection and ridging，the cultivation and management techinques about watermelon/sunflower intercropping at different growth stages had been introduced，making mound to cultivation watermelon，sowing sunflower at proper time，those could shorten the symbiotic period，to ensure watermelon normal growth and sunflower normal maturation.
