Taking ‘Yipinzixiu’，‘Zijukafei’，‘Ribenziyeshengcai’，‘Huangjiahongxiu’，‘Zimeiren’ five purple varieties that introduced to Xining as materials，‘Meiguodasusheng’ as CK,variety test of five purple lettuce new varieties were compared，in order to select five purple letture that suitable for planting in Xining.The results showed that purple lettuce ‘Yipinzixiu’ and ‘Zijukafei’ were with the characteristic of high yield and strong disease resistance and short growth period，et al；the 667 m2 yield were relative high with 1 84576,1 70342 kg，the 667 m2 newly added output value were 17 and 13 ten thousard Yuan；two varieties were suitable for planting in Xining region.
