In Xinjiang Changji region,the introduction of the Pennisetum purpureum Schumach and Pennisetum sinese Ro were comparatively cultivated.The results showed that,two kinds of grasses were suitable for cultivation in Changji area,2 to 3 months after transplanting,they could be used as planting mushroom fungus and herbivorous animal feed,and of the large biomass,high yield,high crude protein.So successful introduction Pennisetum purpureum Schumach and Pennisetum sinese Ro could effectively increase the feed source materials and the development of animal husbandry in Xinjiang bacteria industry development,promote the use of the desert,wasteland,increase farmers’ income,it played an important role to promote local economic and ecological benefits.
