Abstract:
Taking Astragalus membranaceus as material,four concentrations extracts from Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Sophorae flavescentis,Rheum palmatum L.,Coptis chinensis  and Herba ephedrae were extracted as donors,and allelopathic with Astragalus membranaceus was tested by bioassay.The results showed that extracts of various Chinese herbal medicines had different effects on seedling germination and seedling growth of receptor according to donor kinds and infusion concentration,which was chiefly embodied in the three following aspects:as for seedling germination of Astragalus membranaceus,the extracts of Sophorae flavescentis,Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Herba ephedrae,Coptis chinensis (root) had stronger inhibitory effects,but the extracts of Rheum palmatum had the weaker inhibitory effects.The infusions of Sophorae flavescentis,Glycyrrhiza uralensis,Herba ephedrae had stronger inhibitory effects on seedling growth of Astragalus membranaceus.However,the extracts of Rheum palmatum,Coptis chinensis had the weaker inhibitory effects on seedling growth of Astragalus membranaceus.Theallelopathic effects of the five kinds of Chinese herbal medicines on Astragalus membranaceus decreased with the reduce of mass concentration.The combinations of Astragalus membranaceus with Rheum palmatum,Coptis chinensis had better effects of rotation.The field planted Rheum palmatum in current year showed the higher seedling emergence rate.The other kinds of Chinese herbal medicines had the bad effects on breeding and rotation.
