Abstract:
Taking carnation as test material,the effects of salt stress on seed germination and physiology and biochemistry changes of carnation seedlings were investigated,to discuss NaCl stress on inhibition effect of germination rate and seedling growth of carnation.The results indicated that the growth and biomass of carnation seedlings which treated by NaCl were suppressed and the roots were more sensitive than the overground parts.With the increase of NaCl concentration,the germination rate and potential reduced constantly while the proline concentration was on the rise.The proline concentration increased remarkable and the root activity strikingly dropped at the same time,the seedling growth of carnation was restrained obviously when the NaCl concentration was 0.6%.
