Abstract:
Taking Forsythia suspensa,Syringa oblate,Berberisthunbergii cv.atropurpurea,Wisteria sinensis and Cercis chingii 5 early spring blossom woody plant pollen as experimental material,the effect of sugar gradients,culture time and ultra-low temperature storage for culturing five species of early spring flowering woody plants pollens on pollen germination were studied.The results showed that the pollen germination was promoted by the sucrose at certain values,but beyond values the pollen germination would be inhibited.When the sucrose concentration were 20%,10%,25%,10% and 15%,respectively,the germination rate of Forsythia suspensa,Syringa oblate,Berberisthunbergii cv.atropurpureaWisteria sinensis and Cercis chingii were the highest,that were 98.0%,71.7%,57.8%,83.0% and 76.5%,respectively.The germination rate of pollen treated by low temperature storage was obviously decreased compared with control.The range of reducing was between 43.7% (Forsythia suspensa) and 58.0% (Berberisthunbergii cv. atropurpurea).The storage time had a little effect on pollen germination rate.
