- Abstract:
- ‘Xinong Cuibao’ is a new thick skinned melon of hybrid variety with ‘05D29’ as female and ‘05H6’ as male.The fruit growth stages is 98 days，and from flowering to maturing is 30~32 days.The fruit is long oval shape with gray-green skin，medium netting with light ribbing，and was not fallen pedicel；the thickness of fresh is 4 cm with white，the central soluble solid content of 15%,the average fruit weight of about 1.8 kg，yield of 667 m2 was 4 100 kg.It has good resistance to storage and transport,long shelf life and could be stored at room temperature for 30 days.It was audited by Shaaxi Varieties Committee in May 2012,named ‘Xinong Cuibao’.It was suitable for protected and open field culitivation in northwest 5 provinces.
