Abstract:
Taking cotyledon explants of castor bean as materials,the effect of different species and concentrations of cytokinin on shoot induction and different concentrations of auxin on root induction were studied.The results showed that mature seed-derived hypocotyl explants produced adventitious shoots when placed on MS medium containing 0.5 mg/L 6-BA or 10.0 mg/L ZT.The rate of shoot regeneration was maximal (86.7% and 68.9% respectively).Shoots were transferred to root induction medium (MS+0.2 mg/L NAA),which root regeneration frequency achieved 26.7%.
