Abstract:
Theactivityrhythmsofadult Empoascavitis Gthewasstudiedinteaplantationsusingbystickytraps.Theresultsshowedthatadultspreferredflyinginarangeof0~40cmabovetheteacanopy.Thenumberoftrappedadultsattheheightof40cmabovetheteacanopywassignificantlymorethanatotherheights(P<0.01).Thenumberofadultstrappedwasnotsignificantlydifferentatdifferentorientations(i.e.east,south,westandnorth)(P>0.05),whichindicatedthatthispestdidnothaveaparticularorientationpreferenceinfields.Adultsweremainlyactiveinthemorningandevening,morespecially,49.06%and40.57%ofadultsweretrappedfrom5:00to9:00andfrom15:00to19:00respectively,butinactivefrom21:00to4:00ofthenextday.
