Abstract:
TakingPopulustomentosaCarr.,Salixmatsudana,Paulowniafortunei(Seem.)HemslandMetasequoiaglyptostroboidesfourcommonnativetreesinNorthernareaofJiangsuandTaxodiumdistichumandSequoiasempervirenstwogardenofintroducedspeciesinthenorthernpartofJiangsuasmaterials,theinfluenceofdroughtstressonleafcapacitancevalueandwatercontentwerestudied.Theresultsshowedthatwiththestresstimeextension,theleafcapacitancevalueandwatercontenddecreasedgradually;capacitancevalueandwatercontenthadasignificantrelationship.Comparedwithhardwoodspecies,coniferspecieswereabletoadapttothehightemperatureanddryenvironmentbetterandhadahigherdroughttolerance.
