Abstract:
Taking chestnut soil,peat moss,sands etc as experimental materials,‘Apeldoorn’ bulbs of tulip were used and planted on six different culture substrates.The effects of culture substrates on the circumference,dry weight,water content and reducing sugar content were studied.The results showed that in the process of tulip bulbs growth and development,dry weight and circumference showed slow fast slow change trend.After seedling emergence,the first 4 weeks water content rose slowly,then decreased,water content in 50% chestnut soil +30% peat moss +20% sands,had the maximum decrease,reached to 14.9%;in sands had the minimum decrease,reached to 11.6%.The first 6 weeks reducing sugar content changed slowly,during six to eight weeks increased dramatically,there was a peak in the eighth weeks,then decreased rapidly,in 50% chestnut soil +30% peat moss +20% sands had the minimum decrease,reached to 2.53 mg/g FW.
