Abstract:
In order to identify the qualities of Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.,the active ingredient contents from different organs were compared using attenuated total reflection infrared spectrometry (ATR-FTIR) in this paper. Infrared spectral of Polygonum multiflorum was studied,in order to provide a base for rapid and simple evaluate the quality of it.The results showed that the contents from various organs were different.The contents in roots and stems had a higher level,which were followed by the leaf and seed.The spectrogram analysis on phloem and xylem from roots showed that the level of effective content from phloem was higher than that of xylem.This provided a method for rapid identification quality of  Polygonum multiflorum Thunb.by ATR-FTIR.
