Abstract:
In order to discover the allelopathy of aqueous extracts from different up-ground organs of Perilla frutescens on Elsholtzia cypriani,taking the dry stems,leaves and inflorescences as donors and the seeds of E.cypriani as recipients,the experiment was designed as A×B=3×5 factorial and arranged randomly,the five indexes,such as germination rate,seedling rate,germination index,radicle length and embryonal length,were determined by bioassay methods and the response index (RI) and synthesis effect (SE) were also calculated.The results showed that the allelopathic inhibition effects of aqueous extracts from leaves and inflorescences were stronger than it from the stems for the same concentrations of aqueous extracts,for the same organ,the allelopathic inhibition effects were stronger with rising of the concentration,and the order from the strongest to the weakest of allelopathic inhibition effects on the five indexes were radicle length,germination index,seedling rate,embryonal length and germination rate.
