Abstract:: Based on the native greening trees and introduction trees in Wuxi city,by the three aspects of the habits，the level and the ornamental quality were investigated.The results showed that over 105 tree species were local tree，of which 59 species were deciduous trees，46 species were evergreen trees，and the ratio of spices of deciduous to evergreen was 1.3∶1.Over 59 tree species were deciduous trees，of which 49 species were arbors，10 species shrubs，and the ratio of spices of shrub to arbor was 5∶1.There were 34 foliage species，16 flower specises，and 10 fruit species.Meanwhile over 46 species were evergreen tree，of which 25 species were arbors，21 species shrubs，and the ratio of spices of shrub to arbor was 1.1∶1.There were 32 species were foliage type，7 flower type，and 7 fruit type.
