Abstract:
TheeffectsofheavymetalcadmiumonseedgerminationandrootactivityofLuffacylindricalbyhydroponicsolutionsculturewerestudied.Luffacylindricalseedsweretreatedbycadmiumsolutionwithdifferentconcentrationstodeterminetheirgerminationpercentage,germinationindex,variationofvitalityindexandrootactivity.WhenthelowCd2+concentrationwas10mg/L,thegerminationpercentageandgerminationindexhigherthanthecontrolgroup.WhenthelowCd2+concentrationwas5mg/L,therootactivitywashigherthanthecontrolgroup.WithCd2+concentrationincreasing,thegerminationpercentage,vitalityindex,androotactivitywassignificantlylower,andinhibitingwasstrengthen.Thevigourofgerminationandgerminationindexwaslowingwiththeincreasingconcentration,andinhibitingwasstrengthen.TheconclusionwasthatCd2+wascapableofstimulatingbuddingradioatlower,butreducingbuddingradioathigherconcentrations.
