Abstract:: The control effect of chlorpyrifos in 48% EC,Jiebizhi EC,Omethoate in 40% EC and Methidathion in 40% EC to Ceroplastes japonicus in hedge plant Pyracantha fortuneana were studied,these four pesticides were used to control female scale insects in fields in preoviposition period.The results showed that the control effect of Jiebizhi EC,Methidathion in 40% EC and Chlorpyrifos in 48% EC were respectively significantly higher and very significantly higher than Omethoate in 40% EC on the 5th day and 10th day after spraying.Jiebizhi EC had the best effect in four kinds pesticides and its control coefficient was 63.7%.
