Abstract:
The dimethyl fumarate was synthesized by one-step method,by using maleic anhydride and methanol as raw material and stannic chloride as catalyst.The effect of the reaction time,the ratio of maleic anhydride to methano and the amount of catalyst on the yield were investigated,the orthogonal design experiment was carried out.The results showed that the ratio of maleic anhydride to methano had obvious influence on the yield.When using the 0.8 g stannic chloride,the molar ratio of methanol to maleic anhydride was 15∶1 and the reaction period was 2.5 h,the product yield was 88.72%.Through testing melting point and infrared analysis,the product was dimethyl fumarate.
