Abstract:
According to the fundamentals of Analysis Hierarchy Process (AHP)，a concept of comprehensive index about the garden development were put forward and an evaluation model was built.This model divided the garden development to four two-levels which were numbers，types，elements and distributions of garden.A curve of garden development was obtained according to the model，and it evaluated directly the development level of the garden in each history period.The method was applied to the study on periodical division of Sichuan garden，and the conclusion was consistent with other comprehensive research.This method could be used on the development research of local garden in small region.
