Abstract:: Seed of Lagerstroemia indica L. was used as test material,the effects of different NaCl concentrations on the seed germination and seedling growth of Lagerstroemia indica L. were studied.The results showed that under high NaCl concentrations stress the inhibitive effect on seed germination and seedling growth was obvious. The seed germination rate was in negative proportion to NaCl content. Low concentrations of NaCl(≤08%)promoted germination of seeds ,while high concentrations of NaCl(≥08%)restrained it.Low concentrations and high concentrations of NaCl all 〖JP4〗restrained seedling growth.The appropriate,critical and limit values of salt stress separately were 150%,226%,302%.
